“I’m saving over $200 a MONTH – that’s a car payment!”

I had no idea how much money I was throwing away every month until I did the math on your website and realized it was over $200 per month. Unreal!

I was driving around in a beat up car that was constantly breaking down on me. At the time, I truly thought I simply couldn’t afford a new car. It just wasn’t in my budget After I did the math, I realized that it was in my budget if I could quit smoking. The fact that I was literally smoking away a car payment was shocking and quite frankly, a little embarrassing.

It was NOT easy to quit smoking, but I am so glad that I made the effort. Even now the temptation is still there, but I refuse to cave in. All I have to do is think about what that $200 per month has bought me and what it will pay for in the future.

$5000 Mountain Bike for Free!!

I had tried quitting several times before being successful.  The key ingredient the last time was that I truly wanted to quit – not for any other reason than for me and me only.  I used a prescription of Wellbutrin and read a book by Allen Carr called “The Easy Way to Stop Smoking”.  I smoked a carton a week, so was spending about $50 each time I bought a carton.  When I quit, I made sure I put $100 from my paycheck every 2 weeks into a savings account (I was spending it anyway before so didn’t miss it).

After a year of being a non smoker, I went to the bank and withdrew $2600….in $5 bills, each representing a pack of cigarettes I didn’t smoke that past year.  Those $5 bills covered my entire kitchen table easily – very satisfying to see the money I saved, and was as gratifying as how good my body felt being a non smoker.  What might have been just a powerful but gross would have been to see the 10,400 cigarette butts of the cigarettes I would have smoked on that table in a year.  Sick!!

After 2 years, I went and spent $5200 on a top of the line mountain bike and get so much enjoyment out of it.  It was essentially free!! You can do it!
